History (1992 to Present) In mid 1992, three individuals thought it would be a great idea to band together, to rally global support in achieving a goal that would make the digital underground a better place. The result was an overwhelming response to our objective: if the underground was a single unified society, more could be accomplished. Since that time, HFX has done what it could to keep peace between rogue underground groups while also providing a centralized point for opinions and ideas involving the computer underground. Along the way, we gained a great deal of support from larger organizations on the Internet, which prompted HFX to become a key influence in the matters involving the hacking community. Over the past few years, we have worked on expanding our role within the community by expanding our goals. As with any pioneered territory, trial and error prevailed. Some ideas had proven more successful then others yet those ideas that did not turn out as we intended, have only made us become more aware of what can or cannot be achieved. However, adding to our long-term objectives has not made us lose sight of HFX’s main goal, which is keeping the underground community together as a single voice. HFX has, and always will, continue to provide a common base for all individuals within the underground community to unify and to provide a projected voice, which expresses ideals to one another as well as to the public.
Goals and Objectives Since 1992, we have been working to make the underground community a stronger place by providing a common ground for individuals to come together in spite of differences, to share ideas and knowledge. This goal may never be completely finished as there are barriers encountered at every turn. Yet for the most part, we have been successful in doing what we originally set out to do: we could be of much more help improving the underground community by expanding on our role. Providing a centralized point of information such as application, text and written guide archives as well as other freely distributed information became another big project for us. In many instances, the information we make available is very hard to come by plus it is exceedingly difficult to find a host who will support it. Most attempts made by others to bring this information to light are haltered by business agendas or personal opinions. Our attempt at providing a host for this information, permits easy access. Another goal we had set out to accomplish was to give the underground community a voice to speak out. By listening to the opinions and demands of individuals, taking those words and thoughts to the public, we provide a link between the underground community and the rest of the world. History has proven within society, one person alone may be ignored, but a group of individuals striving for the same goal will create a larger impact. Our hopeful achievement is to provide the public with a better understanding of how the underground community functions and to better educate them on the truths of our lifestyle. Apart from the rest of our goals, we aspire to bring new applications and ideas to the technological world. Since we promote free thought and are not driven by deadlines or production costs, we hope to stimulate programmers and engineers, amongst ourselves, to come up with new developments that will improve upon technology. Our projects and development teams are constantly thinking of new and better innovative ideas to make computers and other related technology a little better for everyone. We hope our endeavors will pave the way for global advancements and a brighter tomorrow. |
